    Description

Beauty and the Beast Collector's Plates Concept Art Group of 20 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). Here's a real treat -- a large group of original drawings and sketches for collector's plate designs, inspired by this modern-day classic from Disney. The art pieces run the gamut from character sketches and rough drawings to tightly finished penciled drawings, with incredible detail. Art is for the most part in graphite and blue pencil on onionskin or thin white paper. Paper size ranges from 9" x 12" to 14" x 14"; most full plate designs have a diameter of 12". All Beauty and the Beast original artwork is rare, and here's a veritable bounty! Condition is Good to Very Good.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
