    Description

Bambi Layout/Character Development Original Art by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, 1942). Bambi looks absolutely adorable in this Marc Davis original Bambi layout/character development drawing, created in graphite and charcoal on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Underneath the drawing are the words "Bambi Wipes Face." Great full-figure image size of 5". A studio production stamp is in the bottom right corner, stating date on drawing as January 25, 1940. In the book on the making of Bambi by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, they credit Marc Davis (1913 - 2000) with turning the production of this film around for the better almost single handedly. His Bambi concept art is highly desired by animation art collectors. Paper is trimmed to 10" x 10", with production stamp area in bottom right. Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
