Bambi Faline Dog Fight Rough Drawings and Studies Group by Retta Scott (Walt Disney, 1942). Disney Legend Retta Scott (1916-1990) became the first Disney Studio female animator for her work on Bambi. Walt saw her drawing abilities with animals and had her assigned to the film, where she animated the dog-fighting scene with Faline. This is a fantastic series of rough sketches on 16 field 5-peghole paper of Faline in a jump sequence. Also in the lot is a study of the one of the dogs from the attack scene. Art is in graphite on paper with some Conte crayon highlights on one of the dogs. Faline images are 5" to 7", while the canine studies are stunning 12". A nice look into the history of the beloved Disney classic. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
