Description
Bambi Early Character Concept Drawing Signed by Marc Davis, Ollie Johnston, and Frank Thomas (Walt Disney, 1942). This is an incredible 12 field 5-peghole character concept drawing of Bambi from the 1942 film bearing his name. It is rendered in color pencil and a fantastic look at an earlier version of the character. The color pencil drawing was signed by Disney Legend inductees and three of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Marc Davis (1913 - 2000), Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008), and Frank Thomas (1912 - 2004). They all worked on Bambi and played a part in bringing the deer to life. Frank and Ollie were part of the small team that animated Bambi, while Marc played a large part in the character's design and figured out how to give the little deer human emotions. The drawing measures about 7.75'' x 6.75'' in a 11.5'' x 9.5'' mat window and is presented in a 20'' x 18'' frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Light age-related toning with minor handling wear. Very Good condition.More information about Bambi. See also: Walt Disney Studios - Bambi Artist.
