    Description

Bambi Deer Development/Study Drawings Group by Retta Scott (Walt Disney, 1942). Series of four development/study drawings of a deer, shown at rest and getting up on its feet. Live deer were brought into the studio for the Disney animators and artists to sketch (see page 142 in the Thomas/Johnston book Walt Disney's Bambi -- The Story and the Film). Pen and ink with graphite on 16 field 5-peghole paper; three sheets have four drawn images, while one has five. From the hand of Retta Scott, Disney's first screen-credited female animator, and a Disney Legend Inductee in 2000. Nice images of 4" to 7". Fine condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
