Alice in Wonderland Concept Drawings Original Art Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1951). "Oh no, no, not again!" says Alice after she grows large for the second time in the White Rabbit's House. The first time was when she had a conversation with the Doorknob. This is a rare series of three concept artwork pieces showing Alice growing unusually tall. Work on this film initially began in the 1930s and then again in the 1940s. Ken Anderson (1909-1993) was one of the early character artists and stylists on this film. These are a series of three concept pieces of Growing Alice from the hand of Mr. Anderson. They are from the personal collection of Mr. Charles "Cap" Palmer (1901-2005). He worked on early story development for Alice in Wonderland for almost five years. Mr. Palmer went on to become a film screenwriter. The main piece is a towering image of Alice, done in stunning pastels on 16 field 5-peghole animation paper. Alice is 14" tall. Great artwork of the room and furniture. The other two pieces are done in in Conte black crayon, and showcase the growth spurt. Both images are 7", with one having her dress bow grow to extraordinary size. Minor handling wear and pinholes in the corner. Early developmental artwork for this film by Ken Anderson is very rare. Very Good overall condition.
