Alice in Wonderland Collector's Plates Design Art Group of 5 (Walt Disney, c. 1980s-90s). Several different collector's plate designs inspired by Disney's version of the classic book by Lewis Carroll make up this interesting group. Two of the drawings are on onionskin paper that has been glued to backing board; they show two versions of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, with White Rabbit, March Hare, and Dormouse also in attendance. These are in graphite (blue pencil added on one), with a circular diameter measuring 10.75". Next is a fantastic image of the Queen of Hearts and her army of card men; it's in graphite and blue pencil on thin white paper, with the image extending past the circular border's diameter of 11.5". Two pieces are mostly composed of photocopies. One has a hand-drawn graphite plate border with a copied image of Alice with March Hare and Mad Hatter taped in; it's on onionskin with a diameter of 12". The last item is a presentation piece of a "Musical Montage", with all elements cut prints pasted into position on illustration board measuring 16" x 16".
