    Description

Alex Toth Little Orphan Annie "First Pass" Cartoon Pitch Concept Art Group of 3 (1992). In 1992, Alex Toth created these presentation pieces for Jack Mendelsohn for an idea to update the cast and franchise of Little Orphan Annie to a more dynamic animated cartoon format. These designs have the feel of a Jonny Quest style series and would have excited fans for sure! Included are regulars Daddy Warbucks, Sandy the dog, Annie, and a host of new characters. They appeared in Genius Animated: The Cartoon Art of Alex Toth on pages 321-323. Each piece was created in ink and color marker on 11" x 8.5" yellow paper. There is pinhole damage in the upper left corner of the first page. Signed and dated 8-24-92, and 8-25-92. Overall in Fine condition.

More Information: EDIT: Added citation of art appearing in the hardcover Genius Animated: The Cartoon Art of Alex Toth.
