Description
Alex Toth Little Orphan Annie "Captain Meeno" Cartoon Pitch Concept Art (1992). Produced as a pitch piece for Jack Mendelsohn for an updated Little Orphan Annie cartoon feature, this piece of original art shows the villain Captain Meeno. We love the Octopus Guards and the Manta Ship. The concept for this new animated series was a more action-adventure blend of Annie and Jonny Quest; sadly, it never went beyond the concept stage. The image appears on Page 322 of the hardback Genius Animated: The Cartoon Art of Alex Toth. Created in ink and color marker over graphite on 9" x 12" Bristol board.
