"The Flintstone Fun Machine" Design Concept Sketches Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera, 1976). Here is something rare and special for anyone who collects Flintstones art. In 1976, Audio Amusements Company from Ridgeland, Mississippi, put out a coin operated "Flintstone Fun Machine," a "prehistoric" coin operated phone booth. These were stand-alone units that you would see outside your local Supermarket. Inside the phone booth were four telephones with 24 recorded messages -- six each from Fred, Barney, Betty and Wilma, and Pebbles with Bamm-Bamm. Here are the original graphite oversized preliminary drawings of images that decorated this machine. Fred and Barney each have a phone, while Betty and Wilma, and Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm share phones. Art is in graphite and blue pencil on onionskin paper, with huge images of 14" - 15". Each piece is taped to a backing sheet. This is a real "Yabba Dabba Doo" lot of rare merchandise artwork, over 40 years old! A copy of a trade ad for this machine is included. Tape on border and light handling wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
