    Description

Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree Pooh Kanga and Roo Color Model Cel and Key Master Background for Published Serigraph (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). "I Like Rabbit because he uses short, easy words like "How about lunch?" and "Help yourself, Pooh." explains Pooh to Piglet in this the very first Winnie the Pooh film. In that segment, Pooh gets stuck in Rabbit's front door after eating all of his "hunny." It's a scene so beloved by Pooh Fans that Walt Disney Art Classics made a limited edition serigraph of it for sale to the public. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted color model cel used in the production of the published limited edition serigraph. Disney artists created it as reference in the production of the edition and the background is the Key Master hand-painted original art created for the cel. Color models like this are created to help define final colors, layout and design. They are then reviewed and approved before serving as the master artwork for the edition. As only one or two models are typically made for each edition, items like this are very rare pieces of art. This delightful image is instantly recognizable to any Pooh fan and this is a rare opportunity to own the original artwork used for a published studio Fine Art edition. The cel bears a Disney seal in the lower left and is marked color model just below it. A studio-issued Certificate of Authenticity is included. It is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 6.5" x 6.5" in a 15" x 17.5" frame. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
