Wabbit Twouble Elmer Animation Color Model Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1941). The Warner Brothers animated cartoon Wabbit Twouble was directed by animation great, Bob Clampett (1913 - 1984), credited as Wobewt Cwampett in the film's opening credits. In the short, Elmer's riding in his old jalopy whose eccentric rear axle and wheel do the Conga "kick" and beat. He makes his way to "Jellostone" National Park, where the sign by the entrance promises "Rest and Relaxation" and "a Restful Retreat." This is a terrific color model drawing of Elmer, rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 12 field, 2-peghole animation paper. The image measures 6" tall and includes the animator's color callouts noted on the piece. This is a very rare piece that shows the character drawn as "Fat Elmer". He only appeared as Fat Elmer in four cartoons. The artwork is in a frame of 17.5" x 15.5" under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 11" x 9". Frame sold as-is. Screen grab images are affixed to the back of the frame. This is an actual piece of production art and therefore will show normal handling and edge wear. The art has some superficial smudges and the pegholes have been reinforced by the studio. Very Good condition.
