    Description

The King and I Background Color Schematic Key Group of 68 (Morgan Creek, 1999). This series of 68 hand-painted miniature background color keys are matted in a layout to sequence them for the production of this movie. There are 70 spaces, however two are not there. It is not known if they were cut from the production or simply missing from the frame. Each miniature work of art is 2" x 1.5" and the detail on these is stunning! The mat is Plexiglas front framed to an impressive 47" x 32". Comes with an original King and I COA on the backside. In Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
