Description

The Godzilla Power Hour Godzilla and Godzuki (Godzooky) Color Model Cels Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). From the 1978 Hanna-Barbera animated series The Godzilla Power Hour we offer a pair of color model cels. One color model is for Godzilla and the other is for Godzooky (spelled Gozuki on the model cel). Unlike the Japanese movie character, the animated Godzilla was a 400-foot-tall amphibian that befriended the crew of a research ship after they rescued his younger relative, a cheerful dragon named Godzooky. In visual arts, a color model is a studio document used to help standardize the appearance of a character with respect to color of the character, props or environment. The document is used by other artists as well as ink and paint as a reference tool to help maintain continuity. These two color models are hand-painted on 12 field acetate and matted to 14" x 18" with apertures of 10" x 8". Color models are a must-have for animation art collectors. Here's a couple of great ones! Condition is Very Good.
