DescriptionSuperman Color Model Drawing (Max Fleischer, c. 1941). "Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound..." begins the first Superman cartoon produced by Max and Dave Fleischer. The short then showed the classic Superman pose, showing the Man of Steel standing with closed hands on his hips, ready for action. Here's that classic pose in an original 16 field Fleischer Studios color model drawing. This very rare piece of animation history is drawn in graphite, with numerous Ink and Paint code call-outs and the notation "Ok'ed by Dave" in red pencil. The art is matted with an opening of 15.5" x 12", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 24" x 23.5" x 1.25". Frame is sold as-is. Art condition is Good, with handling wear and small stains, including ink stains on back that show through the paper.
