    Description

Rocky and Friends Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha Cel (Jay Ward, 1959). In June Foray's (1917 - 2017) book Did You Grow Up With Me Too? - The Autobiography of June Foray, she titled chapter eight "My Rocky Life." Here she talks about meeting Jay Ward and Bill Scott for lunch and to listen to the show's concept. She writes "Anyway, I didn't think much of it at first, but by the second martini, I thought it was genius!" Jay Ward collectors know that this is an incredibly rare Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha Fatale hand-painted production/color model cel in a black mat labeled "Original by Jay Ward Productions." The innate rarity of this cel is compounded by the fact that it comes from the collection of Ms. June Foray, the original and longtime voice of both characters. The characters stand approximately 3" and 6" tall and are still framed with glass, just as they were when they hung in Ms. Foray's home. The mat opening measures 7.5" x 10", in a 15" x 17.5" frame. Condition is Very Good. From the June Foray Collection.
