    Description

Rice Krispies Snap Krackle and Pop Color Model Cels (Quartet Films/Art Babbitt Films, c. 1950s). Snap, Crackle, and Pop are the longest lasting animated characters to represent a product for the Kellogg's Company, and they were designed in the 1930s by Vernon Grant. This is a rare set of 1950s hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field black and white color model cels that feature all three characters with cereal boxes. The first one in the lot shows them meeting what looks like a cross between the Addams Family and Hanna-Barbara's J. Evil Scientist and his wife. The other two cels show them holding the Rice Krispies box; most importantly, all three cels have Snap, Krackle, and Pop who measure in a range of 4" to 5" tall. These are simply fantastic early TV production pieces of arguably the three most successful advertising spokes-pixies of all time. Minor handling and some paint separation. Good condition. From the Art Babbitt Archives.
