Pinocchio Reunion Scene Color Model/Publicity Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). An exceptional hand-inked, hand-painted Color Model/Publicity cel of Pinocchio, Geppetto, and Figaro, from the film's happy reunion inside Monstro. Amazing hand-inking, color, and size. This is an original Courvoisier cel setup, with an embossed WDP copyright notice in the top left cel, under the top of mat. Overall image of this great 3-character cel is 9.5" x 8". The original Courvoisier sticker is on reverse side of the mat. This image can be seen in Pierre Lambert's 1995 book The Art of Pinocchio, on page 200. It says it is from Sequence 10.5 Scene 14. This image threw us, because in this actual scene in the film, Pinocchio's donkey ears are still under his hat. They do not emerge until Geppetto wraps him in a blanket. Regardless, this is one of the single best Pinocchio cels we have come across. Matted with an opening size of 8.5" x 9.5" with an overall mat size of 15" x 16". Minor handling wear and surface dirt on mat. Overall Very Good condition.
