Magilla Gorilla Color Model Cel on Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1960's). "How much is that gorilla in the window?" sang the little girl Ogee, the only one who truly wanted to buy Magilla. This is a striking hand-inked and hand-painted publicity cel of Magilla Gorilla from the Hanna-Barbera TV series that ran from 1964 - 1968. The full body image measures 5.5" tall on a 12 field cel presented over a hand-painted studio background. The image of Magilla with a key in his back was inspired by the opening sequence of The Magilla Gorilla Show where he attempts various things (such as appearing to be a wind-up doll) in order to be purchased from Mr. Peebles Pet Shop. The art is matted and framed with glass; matted with a circular opening of 7" x 8" in a 15" x 16" frame. Condition is Fine. Frame is sold as-is.
