Little Hiawatha Color Model Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). This Silly Symphony short was inspired by a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It was directed by David Hand released on 5/15/37. This is a superb one-of-a-kind color model/animation drawing of Little Hiawatha with his bow. It is from the scene where he is having a bow and arrow duel with the bunny. You can see a similar image around the 4:32 mark. Huge image of 8" on 12 field 5-peghole animation sheet. Art is in graphite with multi-colored pencils. Extensive Ink and Paint department color codes, with H-42 written in the bottom right corner. This is one of the single most stunning pieces of artwork of this character we have seen to date. Drawing is matted with an opening of 12" x 10", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 22" x 20". Frame is sold as-is; artwork condition is Very Good.
