Inki and the Mynah Bird Lion Color Model Drawing by Shamus Culhane (Warner Brothers, 1943). That strange little bird that keeps popping (and hopping) up in the five Inki cartoons was finally identified as a Mynah with this, the third in the series. These Chuck Jones-directed shorts were offbeat cartoons, to say the least; although considered politically incorrect today for the stereotyped image of a young African hunter, they were highly stylized, with wild, colorful backgrounds. Shamus Culhane animated on this short. This is an outstanding 12 field 2-peghole Color Model drawing of the lion from this short, drawn in graphite with brown pencil highlights. Great image size of 7". The drawing is signed and titled by Shamus Culhane (1908 - 1996) along the bottom edge. Minor handling and edge wear, very slight left border crease. Very Good overall condition.
