Heyy, It's the King! Color Model Cel/Book Cover (Hanna-Barbera, 1977). This show was part of the CB Bears animated series that premiered on NBC-TV, on 9/10/77. This is a rare one-of-a-kind Color Model cel that showcases "Fonz"-like lion, The King (giving a "thumb's up" gesture); cheerleading ostrich Zelda; hungry hungry hippo Big H; athletic-minded gorilla Clyde; and Skids, the crocodile driver of the gang's jalopy who wears a bucket on his head. This cel was hand-painted at the Hanna-Barbera Ink and Paint Department, and was also used for a 1978 Rand McNally Coloring Book cover; a copy of the actual coloring book is included with this lot. Cels from this show are very rare; it is also rare to have the cel with the finished consumer product that it was used for. Great images of 7" for the King and 5" overall for the group. Fun stuff! Very Good condition.
