Goliath II Color Model Cel Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1960). Here is a great pair of trimmed Color Model cels of miniature elephant Goliath II and the tiger set out to eat him, Raja. This was the first short to use the new Xerox cel technology that eliminated hand-inking. It was directed by Woolie Reitherman, with a story by Bill Peet and narration by Sterling Holloway. The short was released on 1/21/60, and was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated short. The cels are trimmed to 7" x 5" and 8" x 5", with nice image sizes of 6". They were stapled to colored paper backings. Some paint is stuck to paper, with minor paint separation. Good condition.
