Fantastic Four Original Hand-Painted Color Model Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1967). This is an original hand-painted color model cel from the Fantastic Four's first time to appear in animated form. Sue, Johnny, Reed, and (Ben) the Thing, are here all taken directly from designs by the incomparable Alex Toth! The inking on this cel would have been achieved through the (then still new) xerographic process, which essentially photocopied the artist's original pencils lines directly onto the cel, bypassing the need for an inker. The colors were then painted on by hand. Includes a COA from American Royal Arts. Framed and matted, with Plexiglass. Matte opening is 15" x 10". In Fine condition.
