    Family Dog (Amazing Stories) Color Model/Production Cels Group of 3 (Amblin Entertainment, 1987). This animated episode of the Steven Spielberg-produced television series had character designs created by Tim Burton. The episode was written and directed by Brad Bird. Voices included Stan Freberg and Annie Potts. This episode premiered on 2/16/87; it was the 16th episode in Season 2 and 40th overall. This cartoon proved so popular that it was turned into its own series in 1993. This is an extremely rare set of two hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field Master color models. One is of the Binford family -- Skip, Bev, Billy and Buffy, and Family Dog, while second one is of Skip and Family Dog. The lot also includes a rare hand-painted 12 field production cel of Family Dog with one of the two burglars that are seen at the end of the short. Extremely rare early Tim Burton character design work. Great large image sizes of 3" - 8". PLEASE NOTE: This is from the Amazing Stories episode, not from the television series of the same name. Condition is Very Good.
