Cinderella Cinderella, Mice, and Birds Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1950). "Let's make a dress for Cinderelly!" A jaw-dropping hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Cinderella with Jaq, Gus, Suzy Mouse, the other mice, and the Blue Birds. This 16 field cel setup is from one of the most recognizable scenes in the entire film, when the creatures help to make Cinderella's dress for the ball. This scene has been reprinted thousands of times. The amazingly large image of Cinderella is 8" tall! This is one of the few times that we have ever seen a cel of the pattern book as well. Matted with tape along border of cel, this is an extremely important piece from a classic Disney feature film, and it is in Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
