Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaurant Hand-Colored Brownline Print (Walt Disney, 1955). This Disneyland landmark restaurant was in the Park from 1955 until 1982. It was sponsored by Chicken of the Sea from 1955 to 1969. After Chicken of the Sea dropped its sponsorship, the name was changed to Captain Hook's Gallery. This is the original early concept plan drawing hand-colored brownline by Disney Imagineer Bruce Bushman (1911 - 1972). This plan drawing shows the restaurant was originally referred to as "Fantasyland Revolving Pirate Ship (Coffee Shop)." Heavy hand-drawn pastel artwork over the brownline plans, hand-signed by Bruce Bushman in bottom right. An important piece of the birth of Disneyland, in brilliant, still-vibrant colors. Matted with an opening of 22" x 18", framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 29" x 25". Frame is sold as-is, artwork condition is Very Good.
