    Charlie Brown Peanuts Feature Films/TV Specials Storyboards Group (Bill Melendez Studios, 1980-2006). A group of hand-painted storyboards/background color keys from the hand of Dean Spille, used in the making of various Charlie Brown and Peanuts feature films and TV specials. The lot includes a total of 11 individual 4" x 5" storyboards/background color keys in watercolor, graphite, and gouache. Included are one from Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!!) (1980), a rare Peanuts feature in which adults appear in animated form with speaking parts; as well as a great image of Snoopy with mice following him from the direct-to-DVD film It's The Pied Piper, Charlie Brown (2000), released seven months after the death of Charles Schulz and the last to feature hand-painted cels. Also included are three from I Want a Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown (2003), including a great image of Snoopy as Santa with Woodstock; and two from He's a Bully, Charlie Brown (2006) featuring Snoopy as a school teacher. There are also four unidentified pieces: One of Sally ringing a doorbell, Snoopy's dog dish and dog house, the interior of a school, and five characters on a parade float that reads "Queens Escort." Six of the storyboards are initialed "DS" in the rear upper right in graphite. In overall Fine condition.
