Charles Schulz - Snoopy Illustration Original Art Group (c. 1974). The Rosewood Empire Ice Arena was a labor of love for famed Peanuts creator Charles Schulz. He opened it in 1969 and it came to be known as "Snoopy's Home Ice." This group contains two original drawings from the hand of Schulz that were used in ice rink flyers and newsletters. The first of these ink drawings is on his standard Bristol board and also features an onionskin overlay indicating where the red ink would be. Snoopy measures 2.25" x 2.25" in this one. The second is on Bristol board with a 1974 copyright notice on it. Snoopy measures just shy of 3" tall on that one. They are accompanied by a letter from the print shop owner where these were found.
