Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse and King Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). Pair of original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from Bert Gillett's classic short, originally released on 9/23/38. Tailor Mickey is shown on the floor, his scissors in hand; this is right after the king proclaims Mickey the royal giant killer, at about 3:04 into the short. The drawing is in graphite, with an overall image size of 7" wide by 2" tall, and is numbered 23 in the lower right. The king is shown in a pose found a few seconds later, at roughly 3:17, as he ups his offer from one to two million "pazoozas." He is drawn in graphite with red pencil highlights, and he stands about 5.5" tall, with the number 16 written in the lower right. The first drawing is in Fine condition with minor handling, while the second is Very Good, with small dabs of purple paint on either side of the king, and very minor wrinkling to his left. These would display very nicely together!
