DescriptionBob Doerfler Studio Gag Drawings Original Art Group of 6 (Warner Brothers, c. 1940s). When not frantically animating Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, the artists at the legendary "Termite Terrace" studio spent time clowning around, doing gag sketches meant to be shared only with other staffers. These rare drawings were usually tossed out or stashed away and forgotten. Here's a batch of surviving WB studio gag drawings concerning Bob "Dorf" Doerfler. Dorf was an in-betweener in the Chuck Jones animation unit, a bucktooth chain-smoking guy who was the butt of many in-studio drawings, including quite a few by himself. His happy-go-lucky demeanor is on display in these six original drawings. These are in graphite by various artists, some with added color pencils, and provide a rare look "behind the scenes" at one of the most famous studios of the Golden Age of Animation. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
