DescriptionBoat Builders Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938 Building a boat looks like a piece of cake given the simple instructions Mickey and his pals use in this Ben Sharpsteen directed short, originally released to theaters on 2/25/38 and was reissued in 2007 alongside the full-length 3D animated film Meet the Robinsons. In this scene at the 1:25 mark, Mickey breaks out the instructions on how to assemble the mast. He measures 4.5" x 4.25" and is rendered in graphite with red and blue pencil, on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper with the number 38 in the lower right corner. This is an incredibly large full-figure production drawing of a happy Mickey from the 30's. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear. There is some minor handling. Condition is Fine.
