Description
Boat Builders Goofy Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1938). "Hyuck! She wants to play!" Goofy believes that the mermaid figurehead Mickey is carrying is a real girl in this Ben Sharpsteen-directed short Boat Builders. We have in this lot a fantastic animation sequence of 3 drawings giving life to Goofy as he tries to approach the mermaid he thought to be a real girl seen starting at the 5:44 mark of the short. The three drawings are numbered 34, 57, and 58 in the bottom right corner. Goofy is depicted measuring about 5.25" and rendered in great detail in graphite with red pencil on 12 field size 5-peghole animation paper. All drawings display animator's notes and have some handling and edge wear from production. Drawing 34 has a very small tear in the top left corner. The drawings show some toning, with drawing 58 showing the most. The overall condition is Very Good.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
