Description

Bill Melendez - Letter to Dean Spille with Illustrated Storyboard (Bill Melendez, 1980). This is the response that Dean Spille received from Bill Melendez in regards to the backgrounds in the 1980 animated feature, Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back), that they were working on together at the time. Dean's comment was that the layouts did not accurately reflect the European setting. This feature was the fourth animated film starring Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang created by Charles Schulz. The film takes place in the United States, the UK, and France. This letter was created by the hand of the late Bill Melendez (1916-2008) in ink and water color. There are six 3.75" x 2.75" panels on each page, the pages measuring 14" x 8.5". They are accompanied by a handwritten letter from Dean Spille explaining what they are. Minor handling. In Fine condition.
