Bewitched Bunny Witch Hazel Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1954). Animator Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) once confessed that he got the idea for his Witch Hazel from the Disney cartoon Trick or Treat (1952), which featured a good-natured witch squaring off with Donald Duck. Enamored of the voice characterization, provided by June Foray (1917 - 2017), Jones developed his own Witch Hazel character for the Bugs Bunny short Bewitched Bunny (1954). This is an incredibly rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel from her very first appearance and can be seen around the 3:45 minute mark. Vintage Warner Brothers production cels are notoriously hard to come by and this popular Jones character only made three shorts in the 1950s. The image measures approximately 4.25" x 3" and the cel is matted and framed with an opening of 5.5" x 7.5", in an 11.5" x 14.5" frame. Condition is Fine. From the June Foray Collection.
