Be Human Betty Boop and Grampy Painted Production Background (Max Fleischer, 1936). "Operator, operator, get me Professor Grampy please!" In this Betty Boop short directed by Dave Fleischer, Betty is angry at the cold-hearted farmer next door, who is mistreating his animals. But here comes Grampy from the Animal Aid Society to the rescue, giving the farmer a taste of his own medicine with his clever inventions. Here is a beautiful and quite rare original hand-painted production background from this short, which was released on 11/20/36. Betty opens the cartoon singing "Be Human" then sees the cruel treatment by her neighbor from her window and calls Professor Grampy for help. You can see this background when she places the call at the 2:35 mark. Great home interior scene, painted in gouache on background board. Background is in a glass-front frame measuring 15" x 14" with a mat opening of 10" x 8". Frame is sold as-is. Any and all 1930s Betty Boop production artwork is considered very rare. Very Good condition.
