    Description

    Batman: The Animated Series Batman and Robin Production Cel with Master Background (Warner Brothers, c. 1992-95). Presented is a magnificent hand-painted original production cel featuring Batman and Robin dragging an unseen character from off screen from the groundbreaking Batman: The Animated Series. Created by Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm, Batman: The Animated Series changed Saturday morning action cartoons forever with its unprecedented intelligent writing, mature themes and masterful art direction. This incredible piece is presented on an original hand-painted Master background rendered in gouache on the famous black illustration board to which the series owes its particularly dark look and feel. The cels measure 10.5" x 9", and the background is 13.75" x 11". The piece comes with a Warner Brothers seal and Certificate of Authenticity, and it shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use. The background bears the hand-written notation 406-575 BG A-110, and the cel is numbered B24. The background shows some tape scuffing/residue in the corners, and the condition overall is Very Good.
