    Description

Bambi Production Cel on Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1942). "He's kinda bashful, isn't he Momma?" Bambi had its world premiere showing in London on 8/9/42. The movie, directed by David Hand, was the fifth Disney animated feature film and was based on Bambi, A Life in the Woods by Felix Salten. In December of 2011, it was chosen to be in the National Film Registry for preservation by the Library of Congress. This is a magnificent hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Bambi. He is in full figure, standing 5.5" tall. The image of Bambi has been trimmed and applied to a cel which is over a custom, hand-painted background. The cel and background setup is framed with a mat opening of 10.5" x 12", with a 25" x 26" frame. The image of Bambi has had minor restoration and is one of the nicest we have ever seen. Condition is Fine.
