    Description

Atlantis: The Lost Empire Wilhelmina Packard Animation Drawings Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 2001). Wilhelmina Packard is the sarcastic, chain-smoking radio operator in Walt Disney's first science fiction, animated feature film, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The film was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise for theatrical release on 6/15/01. According to writer Tab Murphy, Mrs. Packard was conceived by producer Don Hahn, when in an early story meeting he pitched the idea of a chain-smoking character, likening her to some of the characters that have been performed by Lily Tomlin. Much like the character Vinny Santorini, Packard did not move all that often but when she did, it was usually to great and withering effect. In this lot are three animation drawings of Mrs. Packard, complete with cigarette and attitude, from an original screen test scene done to sell the character to the studio heads. It worked and Packard became a part of the crew that we all know and love! These three fantastic drawings were rendered in graphite and color pencil on 16 field animation paper. Mild handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
