April in Paris Dance Sequence Storyboard Painting by Tyrus Wong (Warner Brothers, 1952). Here's an extremely rare hand-painted storyboard from this live-action musical comedy film, starring Doris Day and Ray Bolger. The artwork, for one of the film's many dance numbers, was created by Tyrus Wong (1910 - 2106), best known to animation collectors as one of the conceptual artists on the Disney classic Bambi (1942). Mr. Wong created artwork like this for many great live-action films, like Rebel Without a Cause, Auntie Mame, and The Music Man, to name just a few. This fantastic "mushroom dance" painting is in gouache, matted with an opening of 17.5" x 6.25". The painting is framed with glass for an overall size of 31.25" x 14.25". Frame is sold as-is. Art condition is Fine.
