Walt Disney Studios RARE Productions Document Signed by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney (Walt Disney, 1963). This one-page document dated August 1, 1963, addressed to the attention of Roy O. Disney, President of Walt Disney Productions, is boldly signed by Walter E. Disney and Roy O. Disney. The Misadventures of Merlin Jones was originally developed as "two television programs" yet it was decided "the two programs would be bridged and joined together so as to constitute a single feature-length motion picture for theatrical release." Therefore, Walt wrote to Roy "to exercise my option and take a ten percent (10%) interest in said motion picture." The science-fiction comedy movie starring Tommy Kirk and Annette Funicello, with direction by Robert Stevenson, was released in 1964. Signed by two members of Disney family, this is a fantastic artifact of The Walt Disney Company's remarkable legacy! The letter exhibits light edge wear and minor age-related toning.
