Description

The Tarzan Chronicles First Edition Hardcover Book with 4 Signatures by Animation Crew Members and Author (Walt Disney/Hyperion, 1998). The behind-the-scenes story of the making of Disney's animated feature film based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan is detailed in this sensational first edition art book, with a foreword by Phil Collins, who wrote and performed the film's songs. The book is lavishly illustrated throughout in both full-color and black & white and includes fold-out pages and special illustrations that reveal how the film was developed and eventually brought to the screen by Walt Disney Feature Animation. The titles in "The Art Of" series provide the reader with a fine visual presentation of Disney animation art and insightful account of the filmmaking process, including the technical advances made throughout the 1990s and beyond. This copy is signed by the author Howard E. Green and three of The Walt Disney Studios artists who produced the film: Kevin Lima, director; Chris Buck, director; and Glen Keane, supervising animator (adult Tarzan). The out-of-print book was published without a dust jacket to resemble the journal kept by Jane Porter in the movie; it has 192 pages and a measurement of 10.5" x 13.5". A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity verifying the legitimacy of the signatures is included. Very Good to Fine condition with light handling.
