The Art of Hercules: The Chaos of Creation First Edition Hardcover Book with 16 Signatures by Animation Crew Members (Walt Disney/Hyperion, 1997). This attractive hardcover art book, written by Stephen Rebello and Jane Healey, reveals the complete story of the making of Walt Disney Feature Animation's Hercules. It's illustrated throughout with artwork created during production of the movie, plus behind-the-scenes photographs and on-screen moments from the film. This first edition copy has been signed by sixteen of the Walt Disney Studios' artists who brought the film to life: John Musker, director, producer, writer; Ron Clements, director, producer, writer; Andreas Deja, supervising animator (adult Hercules); Nancy Beiman, supervising animator (The Fates and Thebans); Nik Ranieri, supervising animator (Hades); James Lopez, supervising animator (Pain); Eric Goldberg, supervising animator (Phil); Ellen Woodbury, supervising animator (Pegasus); Ken Duncan, supervising animator (Meg); Randy Haycock, supervising animator (baby/young Hercules); Brian Ferguson, supervising animator (Panic); Barry Johnson, story supervisor; Anthony De Rosa, supervising animator (Zeus and Hera); Andy Gaskill, art director; Sue Nichols, production stylist; and Kent Melton, sculptor. A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity verifying the legitimacy of the signatures is included. The 192-page book measures 11.25" x 12" with its vellum cover band intact and is in Fine condition with very light handling.Auction Info
