It's a Small World SOLD-OUT Limited Edition 35'' Tapestry Inspired by Mary Blair (Walt Disney, 2005). The unmistakable style and beauty of artist and Disney Legend Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) is on display with this fantastic limited-edition It's a Small World themed tapestry! The attraction was conceived at WED Enterprises (now WED Imagineering) as Children of the World for the 1964 New York World's Fair before moving to Disneyland in Anaheim. Located in Fantasyland in the Disney theme parks, the It's a Small World boat ride is a must-ride for park visitors. Mary Blair was responsible for the attraction's whimsical design and color styling. Blair had been an art director on several Disney animated features, including Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan, and was an instrumental part of creating the look of these films. The tapestry in this lot was sold in an edition of only 1000 pieces and features all the playful and fanciful color stylings of this talented Disney Legend. It was designed by renowned Disney artists Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily for Disneyland's 50th anniversary in 2005, and has been sold out for years. The tapestry measures about 35" x 26" when unrolled and comes with a curtain rod for display purposes.
