Description
Disney Imagineer John D. Stone 10 Year Service Award and Imagineer Hard Hat (Walt Disney, c. 1990-2000s). Offered in this lot is the very award granted to the renowned imagineer John D. Stone for a remarkable decade of dedicated service at Walt Disney Imagineering. The late artist is best remembered for his numerous magical design contributions toward Disney Parks, including Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Splash Mountain. The 9" x 12" x .75" plaque, a symbol of his commitment to building the magic enjoyed by many, shows a wooden base with a 3" x 3.25" brass relief of Mickey Mouse, with the 4" x 3.75" plaque on the bottom part that reads "Thank you John D. Stone /From Walt Disney Imagineering/For 10 years of outstanding service helping to keep the name Walt Disney the finest in family entertainment." Additionally, this lot comes with Stone's 8.25" x 5" x 11 Imagineering Hard Hat. The hat is in Good condition, showing scuffing and wear from use. The award is in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.Auction Info
