Description
Batman: The Animated Series Employee Christmas Gift Original Production Cel with Studio Envelop Signed by Bruce Timm, Eric Radomski, Jean MacCurdy, and Tom Ruegger (Warner Brothers, 1992). "I'll see you in your nightmares." Featured in this exceptional group lot are Warner Brothers and Batman memorabilia that were given out to WB studio employees during Christmas making this an excellent item for a gift! From 1992's critically acclaimed TV program Batman: The Animated Series, the hand-painted cel shows Batman vowing that he will not only haunt the villains and crooks of Gotham City during the night, but also in their deepest sleep. Developed by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, Batman: The Animated Series originally aired on Fox Kids on 9/5/1992 and was an instant critical and commercial success that led it to winning multiple Daytime Emmy Awards, as well as the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Programming. After the series ended its original run in 1995, it was quickly followed by a sequel series, The New Batman Adventures, and spawned another tie-in title of its own prestige, Superman: The Animated Series. A holiday themed studio envelop accompanies the lot and is not only signed by series creators, Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, but also by executive producer Jean MacCurdy and series writer Tom Ruegger. The envelope comes with a personalized letter (done on a Walt Disney Imagineering worksheet) commemorating the very first year of Batman: The Animated Series. Batman's nearly full figure measures 5.25" x 6" with the production codes and scene number listed along the upper border. The production cel bears a Warner Brothers seal in the lower left corner, is accompanied by a COA, and the overall condition is Very Good with light surface wear, and minor handling wear and edge wear.Auction Info
