DescriptionAnimation Art Painted Background (No Publisher, 0). The 38th animated feature film from the Walt Disney Studios was Fantasia 2000. The film was produced by Walts nephew, Roy E. Disney. The artwork in this offering is from a childrens book based on Pomp and Circumstance - Marches 1, 2, 3 and 4 segment which was inspired by the story of Noah's Ark. This collection of three hand-painted backgrounds used for the book. The work was rendered using gouache on illustration board. Two pieces measure 21.75" x 13" and one piece measures 12.5" x 14.25" with an image area of 10.5" x 8.75". Each painting has an overlay with the characters and detail work for the piece. The overlay was created using graphite on Vellum paper. These are three gorgeous pieces that stand alone as Disney masterpieces. Production artwork from Fantasia 2000 is considered very rare. This is actual working production art and thus will show normal usage, artists notes, tape and tape residue, minor handling, and edge wear; overall condition is Very Good.
