    Description

Animaniacs Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Color Model Cels Group of 3 (Warner Bros. 1992). Starting with Ralph Bakshi's The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, and then continuing with Tiny Toon Adventures, the late 1980s and early 1990s were a mini-renaissance in television animation, as series after series continued to raise the bar on quality in design and in storytelling. Steven Spielberg played a very large role in this trend, beginning with his Amblin Animation productions in the mid-1980s. He would eventually produce and develop five different animated series for Warner Brothers Television Animation, Animaniacs being the most successful. These three rare hand-painted color model cels (which would have been distributed among the animators during the show's production) show the two Warner Brothers and the Warner Sister, Dot, from the front and the back, with the final colors agreed upon for their design. Much care was given to depict the three-dimensionality of these cartoon forms, by adding "realistic" shadows to the figures. In Fine condition.
