Alice in Wonderland Alice and Dinah Production Cel (1951). "In my world cats and rabbits would reside in fancy little houses." Says Alice to her cat, Dinah. Here's a rare production cel of Alice with Dinah. The film opens on a golden summer day in the park in England. Alice is listening to her sister read aloud from a history book, to which Alice vocally expresses her boredom. Wandering off without her sister noticing, Alice lays down on a riverbank wishing that she had a world of her own. You will see this image in this scene around the 3:28 time mark when Alice and Dinah lay down in the flowers to nap. The cel is hand-inked and hand-painted on 16 field acetate and paired with a hand-painted presentation background. The flowers and butterflies are also hand-painted onto the cel. The cel is in a frame of 20" x 16" under glass with a matboard aperture of 14" x 10.5". Frame sold as-is. Dinah only appears at the beginning of the movie making this production cel very rare indeed. An exquisite piece from Alice in Wonderland! Condition is Fine.
