    Description

Aladdin Presentation Cel and Master Background (Walt Disney, 1992). "All this for a loaf of bread!" says Aladdin, at the end of the "One Jump Ahead" song sequence, as he and Abu out-maneuver everyone for a stolen loaf of bread. On October 9, 1993, the Art of Aladdin Auction was held in New York City with only 255 lots offered. This is Lot 17 from that auction, from the "One Jump Ahead" sequence. Original hand-painted production Master backgrounds were sold with one-of-one hand-painted presentation cels created from original animation drawings. The cels were placed on their corresponding Key Master hand-painted production backgrounds. These cels rarely come up for resale. There were no production cels used in this film, so these are the single rarest pieces of artwork from Aladdin offered directly from the Walt Disney Studios. Aladdin slides down the rope and crashes into closed window shutters and falls below, in this original one-of-a-kind hand-painted cel. It's placed on a beautiful production background of a building in Akrabaugh. The setup is framed with glass for an overall size of 23" x 18"; matted with an opening of 16" x 12". Aladdin, covered in clothesline cloths, is 8". A Disney seal is on the cel and the original COA is on back of frame. Fine condition.
